Start with a clean install of Windows XP SP3.

Install Java and restart your computer.

Go to control panel > Java Plug-in > Click on update tab > Uncheck 'check for updates automatically' > Click apply and close it.

Create a virtual CD-DVD Rom and mount the VAS PC 19.01.01 Base CD.

Start the installation and follow the screen instructions.

After the installation completes, restart your computer.

Run the VAS PC 19.01.01 Hotfix.

Open the Configurator shortcut on the desktop and click on Java Settings > In the JVM box, it should show 1.4 > Close the program.

Open VAS PC from the desktop shortcut and then close it.

Go to C:\\SIDIS\\home and open the 'label' file with Notepad and change the 'period' value to some date in the future (for example, period=26/04/2026) to prevent the 'out of date' errors in VAS PC.

Open VAS PC from the desktop shortcut > Click on Administration > Enter workshop code.

Enter any 3 digit number for Distribution Center/Importer No., any 5 digit number for Dealership Number, and any name for Dealership Identifier using the on-screen numpad and keyboard.

Close VAS PC.

Go to start menu > Run > Type 'regedit' and press enter.

Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\SIDIS\\ENV and find the registry entry "THE_REAL_CDROOT" - This entry contains the CD drive letter that VAS PC uses for installing brand CDs - Right click this entry > Modify > Then change value to the drive letter of the CD drive you are going to use to install the Brand CDs (If you are using a virtual drive, change this value to the virtual drive's drive letter).

Mount a Brand CD (VW/Skoda/Audi/Seat/Bently) and open VAS PC.

Click on Administration > Install/Update CD > It will ask whether to install update, click OK > Now brand CD will install.

Repeat steps 16 and 17 to install the rest of the brand CDs.
